This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 22, 2009:
ooooo, this one's easy! do something for someone else! it's the fastest cure for the kind of self-absorption that foments boredom. and part of the joy of it is that it doesn't have to be anything big! it can be really simple and small, but by being focused on others, we lose our focus on ourselves and bring joy in the process! how cool is that!?!

Picture long curly dark hair, dreamy eyes, bell bottoms. electrifying the crowd with his night moves. That's was me baby, back in the day.

okay, and me, back in the day? picture teeny me (115 lbs.), skin-tight white jeans (the lay-on-the-bed-to-zip kinda jeans…), black backless t-shirt, platform shoes, long gently curled blondish hair, clear blue eyes, and a deadly strut. my moves on the dance floor didn't have to be all that great ~ they were good where it counted…

You haven't changed much over the years.
Seems Life has been fairly gentle with you.
I'm sure sometime soon we'll share our stories.
So many of us are less fortunate.
Let us count our blessings.
Any video you and I would ever make
would definitely be rated G.
Goodness, kindness, compassion,
truth, enlightenment and love
would be the theme.
And to have the audience feel as if they were
the star of the show would be ideal.

looks can be deceiving, my friend… besides, there are always blessings to be found in the challenges and challenges to be found in the blessings. it's our perspective that ultimately sets the tone for our lives and our 'difficulties'.
thank you for the clarification about the video. perhaps i'm a bit overly cautious about those sorts of things, but you'd be amazed at the creepy folks who come up with the most bizarre suggestions for perfect strangers to consider…
