Is there such a thing as a "free lunch"?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 12, 2009:
all of life is a balancing of energy. there's always an equal energy exchange in the larger scheme of things. so, while we may receive something that appears to be 'free', at some point we've given something of equal energy.
i suppose, when it comes right down to it, i'd rather not be terribly concerned about it. i'll just continue to find bargains abounding (the Universe is very kind and generous to me...) and contribute my gifts and being in any way that seems appropriate. it'll all balance out in the end...
