How do you define power?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 24, 2009:
the greatest power in the Universe is love and compassion is love's action statement and lives in all our hearts. so, when i see anyone showing compassion, i consider them to be incredibly powerful.
the person who will give of themselves to care for something or someone else without searching for any kind of return (not even a thank you...) is powerful.
it is absolutely breathtaking to find power ~ to see it face to face ~ and incredibly humbling. ah, what a blessing!

You nailed it, Kristen, it takes an enourmous amount of power to overcome yourself, to give of yourself to others. To take what is yours and give it freely, that action has empowered some of the best people the Human Race has had to offer, Mother Teresa for example.
